• I have just finished listening to the first three segments of the "Lambs of Culpepper" documentary on the Charles Shifflett case. I'm always amazed at how absolute powers can destroy and harm the lives of so many. I look forward to the remaining two segments. Jeri does a good job in gathering facts in the case, personal interviews with the victims as well as Shifflett predecessor. • First, let me say "Thank You" for caring enough about our young people in Culpeper, Va. to go to all the effort and expense to put this documentary together. I think you have done an outstanding job in telling the truth and giving the victims of Chuck Shifflett a forum in which to tell their stories. I know each victim, so, of course I believe them totally. I wept as I heard each account and thought of the other victims that have been afraid to come forward. • I've just finished listening to the 5 part series. Frankly, it was very upsetting to me. It angered me. I am reminded of some things that I've sought to put behind me. I'm reminded of the evil of certain philosophies and ideas promulgated by Jack Hyles. Be angry at my words if you want, critical if you wish, but I refuse to back off my declaration that some of Jack's philosophies were not just unbiblical: they were evil. Anyway, I suggest everyone hear the documentary....You cannot come away unaffected. You cannot come away without your jaws clenched a bit tighter. • Those of us who have experienced a faith-rocking trauma/tragedy in our lives were led to question God and His purposes, the sincerity of His people, and even the validity of all that we had been taught and believed. I’m certain that the victims, their families, the church, and even those in the community have been doing the same as a result of Charles Shifflett’s crimes. They need our prayers, our compassion and our support,….just like many of us needed the prayers and compassion of those who supported us....Don’t the Lambs of Culpeper deserve our tender compassion, support and attention?
